Hello Parents! We're back! ..Now that we've made a formal announcement in this week's CCS Newsletter + FPForum, we are sending this to all participants from our last active season (2019-20), to make sure no one is left out. We do realize that last year's 8th graders will now be in H.S.,(congrats), yet may still have younger siblings in CCS. We are in the process of updating our email list.
I have received dozens of emails (and calls) from parents asking me to try to put together a program this year, but I did not feel comfortable safety-wise to attempt to do so until recently. After last year's total cancellation due to Covid, and varying apprehensions for this year, we are happy to let you know that we will be having a program and are fully supported by CCS.
Though in the past we always started in December, I wanted to give everyone time for further vaccinations, so I chose Bolton After-School Session 3, (the last session), which begins Wed., Feb.16th just before vacation, and continues March 2nd, 9th, and 16th. Of course, we intend to follow all school covid protocols, including on the buses. Bolton Valley has masking protocols both inside the lodge and on the lifts, which will be enforced. Additionally, we have rented a large semi-separated space in the lodge that will only be for our students. Our experience in the past has been that Wed. afternoon has very light skier traffic, especially since it is a release day for us, arriving early, and departing Bolton, (6:30p.m.), before many night skiers arrive.
Due to the starting dates, we will not be dealing with forms and sign-ups until our Jan. 6th Parent Meeting. We have to get everything handed in to Bolton by Jan. 27th, 2022 for our session.
