Winter 2023-24

Charlotte Recreation Basketball - The Charlotte Recreation Basketball program provides a venue for athletes to learn and master basketball skills in a fun and positive environment. Winning is not the primary objective but rather development of sportsmanship, teamwork, respect for others, and discipline.

Practice and Game Information
The season starts the week of December 4 and ends February 10
Practice will take place on weeknights between 6:00-7:30 pm and/or Saturday 8:00 am-12:00 pm  Times will be posted as coaches determine their availability.
Mini Hoops (K-2) – Teams will practice once a week
Junior Hoops (1-2 Grade) – Teams will practice twice a week
3rd – 5th Grade – Teams will practice twice a week with games on Saturdays.
** All teams are dependent on roster size and volunteer coaches.
If your athlete needs a t-shirt, you can purchase one while you are registering for $10.
Early Registration: $75 (September 11- November 17)
Late Registration: $90 after November 17
Registration Deadline: December 1


Safe Sitter Courses - Safe Sitter® prepares teens to be safe when they’re home alone, watching siblings or babysitting.  The course offers four main content areas: Safety Skills, Child Care Skills, First Aid & Rescue Skills and Life & Business Skills. Lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises.  Teens will practice choking rescue and diapering.  Register for one date that works best for your child.  Register with the town offering the program.  Grades 6-8

Villari’s Martial Arts - Most children and teens will receive some benefit from Villari’s martial arts after training for just a few short months. But the real benefit comes from long-term training. There is something special that happens to a child who grows up in a Villari’s martial arts school. They are simply more confident, respectful, focused, healthy, hardworking, and optimistic.

Afterschool Piano Lessons - The Recreation Department is pleased to offer afterschool piano lessons at Charlotte Central School this fall for students in grades second through eighth. Lessons will be taught by Julie Holmes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Tuesdays, 1/2-5/28 -- 3:00-5:30 p.m. 
Wednesdays, 1/3-6/5 (no class 4/10) -- 2:00-5:00 p.m.
Private Lessons (30minutes): $ 513
20 sessions charging for 19 sessions – $513

2023-24 Charlotte Ski & Ride - This year's five trip session at Bolton Valley will begin after school on Wednesday, February 14th! ~Adult Programs~

 
Indoor Adult Pickleball - Pickleball in Charlotte will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays  in the MPR from 7:00-9:00pm 5:30pm starting November 4th through early March. Please register online! 
 
Pick-up Basketball - Join the basketball fanatics on Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:00pm in the main gym at Charlotte Central School. All levels and ages are welcome to join, please register online!

Adult Volleyball - Charlotte Recreation will be offering adult volleyball on Thursday evenings starting from 7:00-9:00 pm at Charlotte Central School.

Full and partial scholarships are available for all youth recreation activities.
