Hello,
Thank you for taking an interest in the Road Ready Drivers education program.
We are excited to offer driver education in the Champlain Valley. We also work
other jobs in addition to offering driver's education. Sara is an elementary school
teacher and Joy owns her own hair salon.

A little about our program: our course is 7 1/2 weeks long and meets twice a
week from 6:30-8:30 on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings online using Zoom,
with the first class being in person at Bridport Central School.
If there is a school vacation during the dates we are offering the course, we do
not hold evening classes.

We will still provide as an option the in-car instruction driving lesson during that
vacation week. The in-car portion of the class is set up for 6 hours over the
length of the class. We average driving with students about once a week to allow for student practice outside of class as well.

We hold four sessions/courses annually; generally, these have been in January,
March, June, and September. The State of Vermont mandates that all students
cannot miss more than 1 class (unless there is a true family emergency), which
will be made up of extra homework. The State is very strict about time in class. If your child plays a sport, please take the hours into consideration and make sure that your child will be able to come to class on those days and times. We want to ensure success for the students in our program, and this takes time and practice in and out of class.

Throughout the 7 ½ week program, we meet students for 1 hour, once per week, for an in-car instruction driving lesson. We meet students in Middlebury or Vergennes for these in-car driving lessons. A few weeks before class starts, we send out a schedule of available days of the week and times for you to choose which would best fit your student's schedule, and we try to accommodate as close as possible to your choices of time and days you pick. We do offer driving during the school day on Mondays and Wednesdays, so if the student has a free block and would like to do their driving lesson. If our driving schedule allows us, we can try to arrange to pick up at school and drop back off at school.

Our program cost is $875.00, which includes the course book for the class, 6
hours of one-on-one in-car driving times, and it also includes a driving exam for
the Junior Operator’s License if you would like for your child to test with us as
Third party testers. We can administer the driving exam to get their Junior
Operator's License once the student has met all requirements for the State.
